Will there be a Worship Arts Camp in 2026?

Worship Arts Camp 2025: The Seven Seasons of Faith
Our second annual FUMC Worship Arts Camp, held July 7–11, brought the church calendar to life for thirty-seven budding worship leaders. Centered on The Seven Seasons: Exploring the Church Calendar, campers spent the week diving deep into the meaning of liturgical seasons through scripture, stories, music, visual art, puppetry, and worship.
With the guidance of local artists and two special guest clinicians, children explored how color, symbol, and story shape our shared faith. Pastor Lynn’s engaging morning messages introduced each season and its spiritual significance, which students then brought to life through creative arts sessions. The week ended with a moving, camper-led worship service that wove all their learning into one beautiful expression of faith.
Highlights included flying dove puppets to celebrate Pentecost and whimsical stories from Pastor Lynn’s “grandparents,” which quickly became a daily favorite. Watching our children and leaders collaborate so joyfully reminded us of the power of creativity in worship.
Many families have already asked if the camp will return in 2026—rest assured, planning has begun! If you have a passion for the arts, working with children, or simply supporting this ministry through prayer or gifts, we invite you to get involved. To learn how, email Erin at erin@fumcdothan.org.
