We are delighted to welcome Dr. Lornalee "Rocket" Curtis to the FUMC Dothan staff as our new Associate Worship Arts Director and Organist.

Rocket brings a lifetime of musical excellence, a heart for worship, and a deep love for helping God's people experience His presence through music. She will serve as our organist while partnering with Worship Arts Director Erin M. Smith to enrich the musical life of our church through collaboration with choirs, ensembles, musicians, and worship leaders.

After many years serving as a United Methodist pastor, Rocket returned to her first love—music—which she now joyfully considers her ministry. Her remarkable background includes performing at Juilliard, serving as an accompanist for Jacksonville State University, collaborating with opera singers, and performing with choirs, orchestras, handbells, chamber ensembles, and congregations across the country.

Rocket and her husband, Fr. Ed Sellers, a retired Anglican priest and educator, share a lifelong passion for ministry and serving others. Together they enjoy traveling, hiking, biking, dancing, horseback riding, and restoring a home near Thomasville, Georgia.

We are grateful for the gifts and experience Rocket brings to our church family and look forward to all God will do through her ministry. Please join us in giving Rocket and Ed a warm FUMC Dothan welcome!
