Palm Sunday at FUMC Dothan

A favorite day of the year is almost here—and we can't wait to spend it with you!
Palm Sunday at First United Methodist Church Dothan is always a special day, full of celebration, worship, and family fun as we begin Holy Week together. Here's everything you need to know to make the most of your day with us:
✝️ 8:30, 8:55 & 11:00 AM – Worship Services
We’ll continue our Lenten sermon series, Saving 7, looking at Christ’s final words from the cross.
All three services—Traditional at 8:30 and 11:00, and The Bridge at 8:55—will follow our regular Sunday morning schedule.
Don't forget we will be hosting a food drive for our In Christ's Name ministry. Please see details and a list of items needed here.
Please note, the Bridge area refreshments will be located in the CLC Lobby.
🌿 Children will be singing in both the 8:55 and 11:00 services.
We love hearing their voices lead us into Holy Week!
J.A.M. Time will take place in the gym, with check-in and check-out happening in the gym instead of Kids Corner.
🌿10:00 AM – Palm Sunday Reenactment (Front Lawn)

Gather outside on the front lawn during the Sunday School hour for a joyful reenactment of Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
This is always a meaningful moment for our whole church family—don't miss it!
🎉 4:00 PM – Egg Hunts & Afternoon Fun

Come back for one of our most loved family events of the year!
At 4:00 PM, we’ll gather on the front lawn and then head out to age-divided egg hunts across campus.
Every child will receive a special goody bag and a card for a treat from Tikiz’s Truck, who will be on site serving up delicious treats. There will also be a photo opportunity with our special guest, Peter Rabit!

🌭 After the hunts, we’ll enjoy hot dogs and hamburgers together on the front lawn.
🎶 Then stick around for a time of worship with The Promise Band, followed by our Annual Cross Raising, a powerful tradition that marks the beginning of Holy Week.
Be sure to bring chairs or blankets for sitting on the lawn.
Palm Sunday at FUMC Dothan is one of the most joyful, heart-filled days of the year. We hope you'll be part of this beautiful celebration as we wave our palms, worship together, and enter Holy Week with hearts full of hope and praise.
See you Sunday!
