Houston County Rural Ministry - Serve Day is March 28

Published March 20, 2026

We are happy to announce the launch of a new outreach ministry in Houston County. As an extension of our Helping Hands ministry, and in partnership with The Harbor, volunteers will serve our neighbors in a variety of ways throughout the day. The vision for this ministry emerged from several reflections: the parable of the Lost Sheep, meaningful conversations in our community, and our partnership with a ministry serving Lee and Macon counties. Through those experiences, the idea was born to create a day focused on reaching out and caring for those in our own community.

As this ministry begins, the long-term goal is to offer similar serve days throughout the year in different parts of Houston County, building relationships with homeowners, and individuals who need assistance and encouragement.

Volunteers may register online by March 22 - on Saturday, March 28 we will gather at the church at 8:45 a.m. before departing for our various service locations.
