Celebrating our God of Wonder

This summer, our children and youth experienced another unforgettable week at Camp Wildwood and Camp Oakwood at Blue Lake in Andalusia. Together, the camps welcomed children, students, leaders, and churches from across Alabama and West Florida for a week of worship, friendship, laughter, and life-changing moments. It was especially meaningful to see our youngest campers and oldest students sharing the same camp experience while growing in faith together.

This year's theme, WONDER, was based on Psalm 40:5: "Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done." Through a fun, space-themed week, campers discovered God's story—how He created us with purpose, rescues us through Jesus, and calls us to share the good news with the world.

Camp Oakwood celebrated its largest year ever, welcoming 205 campers and leaders, while FUMC Dothan was blessed to send 54 students and chaperones to Oakwood and 59 children with 20 adult leaders to Wildwood. We are deeply grateful for our clergy, staff, volunteers, and the many churches who helped make this incredible week possible. We are already looking forward to what God has in store for next summer.
