2026 National Day of Prayer Service at Ridgecrest Baptist Church
Wiregrass Churches Unite for Community-Wide National Day of Prayer Service
Christians from across the Wiregrass will gather on Tuesday, May 6, at 6 p.m. at Ridgecrest Baptist Church for a community-wide National Day of Prayer service, joining together in a shared time of worship and prayer for the nation, local communities, and churches.
Hosted through a collaborative effort among churches across the region, the service will bring together local pastors, church leaders, and community members in a visible expression of faith and unity. The evening will include guided prayers, worship music, and participation from leaders throughout the Wiregrass.
This year’s service is being organized by Pastor David and Dr. W. Charles Lewis of Dothan Community Church. Speakers will include the Chaplain of Fort Rucker, Mayor Mark Saliba, and pastors representing a variety of churches across the Wiregrass.
Along with prayers for the community, the service will include recognition of America’s upcoming 250th anniversary and a special prayer for the country.
Observed annually across the United States, the National Day of Prayer invites people to seek God together on behalf of the nation. The Dothan-area gathering reflects that spirit through a united witness of Christians from many congregations coming together as one.
The event is free and open to the public, and all are welcome to attend.
