What's Been Happening at FUMC Dothan?
Respite Grand Re-Opening
Respite Care Ministry has finally resumed in-person gathering at the church! Tuesday, April 20th was an exciting day for our participants, caregivers, volunteers, and staff as we welcomed each other back face-to-face. Enjoy some fun photos from the big day.
Alleluia! He is risen!
We are happy to report that nearly 700 people gathered to worship at one of our five in-person worship services and we had many worshiping with us virtually as well! Here are some photos from our Easter sunrise service and other special moments throughout the day.

Bread of Life at Easter
Sunday, March 7th, our tweens and children’s ministries joined together in packing bags as an act of service. They have been studying the “Disciple Like Jesus” materials like the rest of us, and studying service was connected with packing bags of ready-to-eat meals and snacks for food-insecure children in Dothan!
Our children and tweens packaged up 270 bags that will be delivered to Girard Primary School to be handed out just before the long Easter weekend.
We have a really GREAT bunch of children and tweens in this church!
Together, We Fed 1500 Frontline Workers!
Our Lenten worship series (MORE: Life as Jesus Intended) includes a “Deeper Dive” activity each week related to the message for the week. February 28th’s message was on “A Life of Hospitality” so we showed hospitality to some of our local frontline workers during the following week.
Between these two days, we fed a total of 1,500 hospital employees to show our appreciation for their hard work during the COVID-19 pandemic. Free Chick-fil-A meals brought smiles to many faces.
FLOWERS HOSPITAL: On March 2nd, we provided 700 free Chick-fil-A boxed lunches which included every employee that was working at the time!
SOUTHEAST HEALTH: On March 6th, we provided 800 free Chick-fil-A boxed lunches which included every employee that was working at the time!
We had twenty volunteers each day to join together to assemble boxes and serve these hard working healthcare heroes. But, even more of you have given or prayed for this ministry opportunity! We are so thankful for your prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness!
