Lenten Lunches 2024

Lenten Lunches will take place in our Fellowship Hall each Wednesday during the season of Lent (February 21 – March 27). We will provide a delicious meal, music and a message. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. and the program is noon – 12:50 p.m. Suggested donation – $8 per person. You may prepay below.

Senior Pastor of Covenant Methodist Church, Dothan

Kyle came to Covenant in 1999 after serving as Pastor of churches in Blountstown, Florida, and Montgomery, Alabama. He has been married to Deandra since 1991. They have a daughter, Jordan, and a son, Sterling, who, along with his wife, the former Amy Brooks – have two boys – Brooks and Wells. Kyle was named Senior Pastor of Covenant on August 17, 2022, after Dr. Hays McKay lost his three-year battle with cancer on July 16, 2022. In his off time, Kyle is a football official with AHSAA, feeds two horses most every morning, and enjoys spending time with his grandsons and playing with cars (not on his own, but with his grandson Brooks).

Lead Pastor of Church at the Crossing, Dothan

John Dowdey serves as the Lead Pastor of Church at the Crossing in Dothan, Alabama, where he leads with his wife, Brandy. John and Brandy have more than 25 years of ministry experience. They transitioned into the role of Lead Pastors in 2017. Through relational leadership, John’s heart is to not just pastor the church, but the city where he is planted and all other avenues the Lord may open. John and Brandy have one son, Tyler. John enjoys golf, fishing, and his newly discovered passion for hunting.

Executive Director of T.I.M.E. Youth Dothan

Nate Patterson serves as the Executive Director of T.I.M.E. Youth Dothan, a faith-based, non-profit organization founded in 2015.  Their mission is to love, equip, and empower youth to follow Jesus and to become lifelong leaders. T.I.M.E. stands for teach, inspire, mentor, and educate. Nate has a beautiful wife, Keni Patterson and three beautiful children, Justyce, Kennedy, and Nate Jr. Together, Nate and Keni serve T.I.M.E. Youth and have been married for nine years and counting. In his free time, he loves to skate, play basketball, and be outdoors with the kids.

Itinerant Elder at Hines Chapel AME Church, Dothan
Principal, Girard Intermediate School

Reverend Tracey Horn serves as the Principal at Girard Intermediate School for Dothan City Schools. She is also an ordained minister and currently serves as Itinerant Elder at Hines Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Dothan. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Troy State University. In addition, she has obtained a Master of Arts degree in Christian Ministry from Liberty University Baptist Seminary.  She excels as a loyal wife of thirty-one years to the Apostle Paul Horn, Pastor of Hines Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Dothan. Reverend Horn also surpasses in compassion as a loving mother to three vibrant children, Derrick, Raven, and Erica and grandmother of three beautiful grandchildren. All of these accomplishments and accolades are noteworthy; however, Reverend Horn’s relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the most important part of her life.

Assistant Pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Dothan

Caleb is the Assistant Pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Dothan. Caleb was born in Enterprise, AL and raised in Black, AL as the youngest of two sons. Before coming to First Presbyterian, Caleb served as the Pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Eufaula, AL from 2013-2018. Previous to that, Caleb earned his Master of Divinity at Covenant Theological Seminary (2009-2013). Caleb began dating his wife, Whitney, while serving with Campus Outreach at AUM in 2006. They have been married for 14 years and have four daughters: Annsleigh, Stella, Scarlett and Helen. Caleb enjoys sports, exercise, vegetable gardening, hunting, woodworking, drinking good coffee and reading books.

Rev. Sean Peters

Pastor and Executive Director of the Harbor, Dothan

Rev. Sean Peters is an ordained elder in the Alabama West Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church. He is currently appointed to First UMC in Dothan where he serves as the Pastor and Executive Director of the Harbor. Sean will begin serving as the Pastor of Pekin First UMC in Pekin, Illinois on May 1.

Sean is married to Sandra, an artist, actress, director, and theatre educator. They have two grown children who live in Nashville, Tennessee.
