Lenten Lunches 2023

Lenten Lunches will take place in our Fellowship Hall each Wednesday during the season of Lent (March 1 – April 5). We will provide a delicious meal, music and a message. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. and the program is noon – 12:50 p.m. Suggested donation – $8 per person. You may prepay below.

Dr. Joseph Johnson

Senior Pastor of Evergreen Presbyterian Church

Dr. Johnson has served as the Senior Pastor of Evergreen Presbyterian since 1990. He holds a Master of Divinity degree and a Doctor of Ministry degree, both from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. Joseph discovers delight in preaching, teaching, pastoral care and community service, all of which lead to a deep concern for those in our world who struggle and celebrate issues of life. Joe is married to Pamela Dammann Johnson whose career is a Dental Hygienist. Their lives are largely controlled by two Cocker Spaniels, Hannah and Abbey.​

of Dothan

Dr. Rutland holds a master of divinity, master of theology, and Ph.D. from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Taylor has a passion for helping the church to see the value in living a missional lifestyle. He believes the church should be known for being active in the community and loving all people from all walks of life. Taylor is married to Ashley, and they have three children.

Senior Pastor of Dothan Community Church

Dr. Lewis is the founder and Senior Pastor of Dothan Community Church. He is a summa cum laude graduate of Tuskegee University who faced the challenge of being accepted into medical school and called into the ministry at the same time. He responded to God’s call to the ministry and received staff training with the Navigators at the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana, and holds both the Th.M and D.Min degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, Texas. He and his wife Geraldine have five children.

Fr. James E. Dane

Pastor of St. Columba Catholic Church

Fr. James E. Dane received his Seminary Education at St Mary’s Seminary & University in Baltimore. He began his Priestly ministry at St. Pius X in Mobile.  Following other parish assignments in the Mobile Archdiocese, Fr. Jim became the Director for the Society for the Propagation of the Faith.  In addition, Fr. Jim was the Spiritual Director of Cursillo Movement, Chaplain for St Michael Catholic High School, and the Priest for St. Benedict Catholic School.  Father Jim has one outside interest which is that of an avid golfer, having won numerous tournaments.

Rector of Episcopal Church of the Nativity

Rev. Sellers is a graduate of the Virginia Theological Seminary. He feels a strong call to parish ministry to preach and teach the Gospel of Christ. Randy has a passion for Christian formation and community outreach. A particular interest is working to develop new ways to ‘do church’ in order to meet people where they are in our rapidly changing culture. He and his wife Darla, have two children.

Pastor, Greater Shiloh
Missionary Baptist Church

Rev. McKay has earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration and Master’s Degree in Strategic Leadership from Tuskegee University and Amberton University respectively. As Senior Pastor at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church, Rev McKay has led the church in developing an after-school tutoring program for at-risk youth, provides approximately 65 families with food monthly in partnership with the Wiregrass Food Bank, and has led the creation of the GSMBC Community Development Corporation to focus on education, wellness, workforce development, and social services within the Headland community. He is also the Co-Founder of Christian Brothers Network. He was one of the youngest junior level officers at a Fortune 500 Financial Services Company at the age of 22. Youngest to be appointed as Department Director with the City of Dothan and First African American to be appointed as Personnel Director. Married to Lori and proud father of Christian.
