Online Worship

Though our buildings are closed,
our hearts are open.

Are you a visitor? Let us know you're watching!

ONLINE WORSHIP SERVICE - 8:55 am on Sunday, June 7, 2020

We have returned to live streaming in the church building! If you have missed seeing a familiar atmosphere, we encourage you to join us on Sunday morning to worship with us from home. After the stay at home order, we went to pre-recorded videos from within our own homes, or in nature. Now, you’ll see us in the sanctuary and fellowship hall, which is something we are excited about.

We also have some new live streaming capabilities which allows us to stream through YouTube, Facebook, and here on our website. While we hope that all three ways will always work, there’s a possibility that technology may have some hiccups, so we want you to be aware that there are all of these avenues, and if one isn’t working, check back here for the other options.

We hope that you will participate with us in online worship this week and for as long as we are unable to worship in the church buildings. The service will be linked below and will also be available after Sunday morning to watch on-demand.

SUNDAY SCHOOL - Available each week

While we are separated by distance, but choosing to stay connected, we’ve developed a plan to provide Sunday School lessons weekly for adults here on the church website.

We are so glad that you are interested in our Sunday School gatherings!

In an effort to protect our members and visitors from the “Zoombombing” and internet trolls, we’ve recently removed our virtual Sunday School links from the website. We still want you to join us though! So, if you’d like to join a Sunday School class but don’t already have a link, please email to find out which classes are meeting, when they’re meeting, and get access to the one you’d like to join.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but rest assured, FUMC Dothan Sunday School is still taking place, and you are very much welcome! This is just an adjustment in the best interests of everyone.

GIVING IN NEW WAYS - Online, Text, or Mail

We may not be meeting in the sanctuary, fellowship hall, or classrooms, but the ministry of FUMC continues – especially in times of emergency like the COVID-19 pandemic. If you usually place your offering in the plate during worship, please consider changing it up a little bit for this unexpected time of adjustments for us all. Below are three ways you can give that are safe and secure. Who knows? Maybe you’ll decide you like one of these ways better long-term!

TEXT: Text “Give” to 1-334-219-0240. Follow the prompts to set up an account if it’s your first time. And then simply designate an amount to give.

ONLINE: Visit and log in to (or set up your new) Shelby account for everything FUMC. Easily give online.

MAIL: Snail mail still works! Send checks to 1380 W. Main St., Dothan, Alabama 36301.

*Log in or create new account first.
