JUNIOR SPRING GOLF LEAGUE

Who:          All Junior Players-Boys/Girls  ages 5 years– 17 years
                  (Must be members of the W.C.Y.G.A.)

Date:          Thursday’s              April 3rd, 17th, 24th
                                                May 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th

Time:          4:00 pm

Place:         Highland Oaks Short Course

Cost:          $10.00

Description: Players will play 9 holes each Day and compete with-in their age group.

What is WCYGA?  WCYGA stands for Wiregrass Church Youth Golf Association. There are numerous advantages for being a member. The cost is $75.00 per year. Youth will get Free Green Fees on the Short Course. For more information, contact the CLC.

JUNIOR SUMMER GOLF CAMP

Who:      Boys/Girls  Ages 6 years– 16 years

Date:     Monday-Tuesday June 2nd-3th @ Dothan Driving Range
             Wednesday, June 4th @ Fireball Hardy’s Par 3

Time:     9:30 am-10:30 am

Cost:      $35.00

Description: This will be a good beginning opportunity for our Boy’s and Girl’s. The basic grip, stance, and swing will be taught in an effort to get the kids ready for the Summer League. On Wednesday, the players will travel to Fireball Hardy’s Par 3 for a round of golf. Transportation will be provided for the Par 3 Trip.

JUNIOR SUMMER GOLF LEAGUE

Who:         Boys/Girls  Ages 6 years– 18 years

Date:        Thursdays, June 5, 12, 26, July 3, 10, 17, 24

Time:        8:30am-Bus Leaves Church
                9:00am-League Play begins

Place:      At Highland Oaks Short Course

Cost:        $35.00 –For WCYGA Members
                $60.00-For Non-Members

Description: This is a fairly competitive activity for our young golfers. Each week they will play 9-holes and compete within their age group.

FATHER-SON GOLF TOURNAMENT
(A Fund-raiser for our Junior Golf Program)

Who: All Father/Sons, Grandfathers/Grandsons, Father- Figure/Adopted Sons, Friend/Son Combination at FUMC or other Churches

Date:                Saturday, June 7th

Time:               8:30am-Check-In and Range Balls / 9:00am-First Tee-Time
                        (Shot-Gun Start)

Place:              Highlands Short Course

Cost:               $60.00 per team (Includes Golf, Cart, Lunch, and Prizes)

Description:    Father/Son will PARTICIPATE IN THE Age Bracket determined by the son. Both of their scratch scores will be added to determine the winner.

Divisions:      8-under, 10-under, 12-under, 14-under, 16-under, 17-up

Prizes:           TO 1ST AND 2ND EACH Division-Plus door prizes.

Christian Life Center Policies

The Christian Life Center is open to all members of the First United Methodist Church of Dothan, Alabama. Members must be in the 3rd grade or above.

The Leisure Ministries Committee has adopted a permanent I.D. card system.

Each Church member, in the 3rd grade and older, is asked to donate $5.00 toward the cost of their membership card.

Church members 16 years and older who wish to use the Fitness Center, are also asked for an annual donation of $40.00 for an individual or $70.00 for families.

These amounts will be used toward the maintenance and replacement of equipment. There will be a $10.00 fee to replace any originally issued card.
