Ladies Fellowship Bible Study
Description: A Bible Study and prayer group which studies the Bible.
When: Weekly on Mondays at 1:30 p.m. starting January 8.

Invitation to the Psalms
Description: A study of the book of Psalms using Michael Jinkins’ book, Invitation to the Psalms.  Prior to the first meeting, participants should have purchased and prepared the first session.
When: Weekly on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. starting January 9 for 10 weeks.

“Seamless” Women’s Bible Study
Description: Seamless author, Angie Smith, shows how the whole Bible, from Genesis through Revelation, connects the Bible as one seamless thread.  Participants can expect to better understand the Bible as a whole, connect with God’s Word in a fresh way, and gain clarity and confidence in understanding scripture.
When: Weekly on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. starting January 3 (through February 21)

 Men’s Roundtable
Description: The world’s idea of a “man” is different than God’s.  Men’s Roundtable is a study where we will look into what the Bible has to say about being a Godly Man.  This study is open to men 15 years of age and older.
When: Weekly on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. starting January 16 and for 8 weeks.

Description: Men meet for lunch, fellowship, and to study scripture.

The Preacher and The Rabbi
Description: A discussion of the sameness and difference in Christian and Jewish practice, such as prayer shawls; immersion in water; bread and wine; etc. There will be time for lots of questions.

FUMC Navigate
Description:  New to FUMC? Have questions and are curious about the church? You are invited to come to FUMC Navigate.   We will learn about Life Groups, our spiritual gifts, places of service, and the nuts and bolts of the UMC. This is a great place to ask questions, to get to know others new to FUMC, and to meet pastors and members who can help you navigate your way around FUMC. Christianity’s Family Tree
Description: Everyone has that relative who you know are kin, but they do things just a little differently from you. The Christian church is the same as there are now hundreds of different denominations that make up the body of Christ. Join us as we study and learn about some of those different denominations using Adam Hamilton’s Christianity’s Family Tree. You can purchase online at www.cokesbury.com or find it on Amazon. Making Sense of the Bible
Description: A 7 week lunch gathering that’s BYOL (Bring Your Own Lunch). Using Adam Hamilton’s Book and video teaching as a guide, we will explore the “authority of the Bible.”  Topics to be addressed are: What is the Bible? The Bible and the Violence of God, the Bible and Changing Social Values, The Bible’s Power and Authority Today.  Books cost $10 and will be provided on January 17. The deadline for registrations for this group is January 7th.  To register, contact the church office or sign up online.

Methodism: Then and Now
Description: This study will look back to John Wesley, the founder of Methodism in England, examine the development of Methodism in America, our distinctive beliefs, and several of the tough issues that Methodism has and is facing as we seek to minister to a changing world.

Respite Care Support
Description: Respite Care Ministry Support group is for caregivers and families in our community that have loved ones living with memory loss.  Each month a variety of topics are covered including self care, behavioral challenges, different stages of memory loss, community resources and more.
When: Monthly on the 4th Wednesday from 10:00-11:30 a.m. starting February 28.
Where: FUMC Room 154.

Run For God, The 5K Challenge
Description: The 5K-Challenge is a practical guide to running with a plan aimed at running with a Christian focus. From advice about shoes and nutrition, to tips on race etiquette, this is open to everyone. Whether you love to run, haven’t run in years, or have never run before, come join us. When: Weekly Bible Study and running education on Sundays from 10:00-10:45 a.m. starting January 7 through April 1. Group runs on Sundays from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
