Care for caregivers.
Caring for a family member or loved one is gratifying, but it is also challenging. FUMC Respite Care Ministry is designed to relieve the caregivers for free time so they can:
— Run Errands
— Take care of business
Caregivers enjoy peace of mind knowing their loved ones are cared for in a safe and caring environment.
Caregiver support group meets the fourth Tuesday of each month from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in Room 154.
Participants must be independent in the following:
— Attending to their own bathroom needs
— Participating in social activities
— Feeding themselves
We require a completed medical examination from the participant’s physician and a list of current medications.
Caregivers are invited to call and schedule a tour of the Respite Care Center prior to enrollment.
Three groups of people will be dramatically affected by this lifeline called Respite Care. The caregiver will receive a much needed break from a day that never ends. Those with memory impairment will be showered with love and most of all reminded that God NEVER forgets them. The volunteers leave with hearts full of love and purpose. All will leave our time together at FUMC Respite Care having met Jesus in the midst.
Here are the Respite Care registration forms.
