Parent's Day Out
First United Methodist Church "Parent's Day Out" is an established Christian-based program designed to give the best possible care to your child. We recognize that each child is special and unique and each is treated as such. We strive to do this through individual and group activities during playtime, story time, music and crafts.
We have two sessions. The first is Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 until 12:30. The second session is Tuesdays and Thursdays, also from 8:30 until 12:30. We welcome you to sign up for one of the above.
We accept children from 6 months to 3 years of age. Your 3 year old should turn 3 on or after September 1 of the year of enrollment. We limit the children in our classes according to age groups:
Infant - 4 children per adult caregiver
Toddler I - 4 children per adult caregiver
Toddler II - 6 children per adult caregiver
Toddler III - 8 children per adult caregiver
A registration fee of $20 per child or $25 family maximum is required and this amount is payable each year in the month of September.
The monthly fee is $80 per child with a 20% discount offered for each subsequent child of that family.
When space is available we do accept Drop-ins. The cost for Drop-in's is $10 per day per child plus $1.50 for lunch.
Monthly payment is required for all but Drop-in's, and a late fee is charged for payments made after the 10th of each month.
A morning snack is provided and lunch can be purchased for $1.50. A menu will be provided for those wishing to purchase lunch. If your child has any special dietary needs, we ask you provide that information and also provide the necessary foods and snacks as appropriate to those needs.
All children should bring a change of clothing and necessary tolietry items, i.e. all children in diapers should bring a fully stocked diaper bag (creams, wipes, etc.).
A healthy environment is important for everyone's well-being. Please do not bring your child if they show any of the following symptoms: fever, vomiting diarrhea, runny nose, irritated eyes, rash, open sores, or any unusual lethargy. We do not give any medication to the children while they are in our care and they must be symptom free of the above for at least 24 hours before returning to PDO.
