If your group needs Nursery Care provided for events other than those listed below, please contact Dena Ogletree, Director of Children's Ministries, at 334.793.3555 x232.

If you wish "Nursery Available" to be included with your event announcement in the Newsletter or Bulletin, the request must be made prior to the publication deadline -- which is Tuesday of the week prior to your event.

At times other than Sunday morning
Nursery care for newborns through 5-year-olds will be provided in the Children's Building. Nursery will always be provided for the following events:

• Special worship services, such as Ash Wednesday and Sunday Night Services.
• Church Council meetings
• Wednesday nights for any classes, meetings, or children's choir
• Guest Artist Series
• Any church-wide events such as Charge Conferences

Drop off/Pick up
Please fill out the sign-in sheet and make sure your child has a name label (labels for children 2 and under).

Please pick up a pager (crib, crawlers, toddlers) and write the pager # on the sign-in sheet.

Your child will be released only to the parent or person indicated on the sign-in sheet.  Please do not send siblings to pick up your child.

Nursery Staff
Hired paid workers who have completed background checks and training.

Church and parent volunteers support the paid workers on a rotating basis.

Diaper Changes in the Nursery
Paid staff will do all diaper changes.

Acquainted with health and safety requirements. Please provide diapers, wipes, and ointment if needed.

Snacks
Snack will be served during the Sunday School hour.  We usually serve goldfish or cookies and juice, but occasionally a special snack may be served.  Please notify your child’s caregiver of any allergies.

Safety/Sanitation
Parents of crib babies, crawlers and toddlers receive a pager set to vibrate so that they may be reached at any time.

Parents of older nursery age children may receive a pager upon request.

For both safety and sanitary reasons, we ask that only one parent enter the room.  Please do not bring older siblings into the room.

Ages
Crib babies:  Approximately 6 weeks to 9 months.  Children are moved up to the next class based on development.

Crawlers:  Approximately 9 months to 15 months.  These children are crawling and may be starting to walk but are not yet firm on their feet.  Children in this class are moved up based on development.

Toddlers:  Approximately 15 months to 2 years.  These children should be firm on their feet.  Children in this class are moved up based on development.

2 year olds:  Must be 2 by September 1st.  Children are promoted to this class at the beginning of the school year only.
 
3 year olds:  Must be 3 by September 1st.  Children are promoted to this class at the beginning of the school year only.
 
Children in the 4 year old Sunday School class should be picked up for the 11:00 service so they may participate in children’s church.
